So I was excited when I heard that Address Book supported printing labels. But now I am annoyed. All I want to do is this: Print out my address on a sheet of labels.

Here's what Tiger will let me do: 1) while logged in as myself I can't do anything. WHen I launch Address Book it just hangs forever. Forever spinning rainbow pizza wheel of death.

2) While logged in as nathan. a) I can print out m address on one label only - I can't figure out how to make it print my label repeatedly. b) I can print out a envelope with the From address as Nathan, and me as the To Address.

Annoying. Guess I will open Word and see if I can do this there. Last time I printed labels, I made about 50 address entries for myself, and somehow exported that. But now I can't even open address book. Maybe it is all those repeating entries that mess it up.

Update:

Time for some praise about printing envelopes and labels. Microsoft Word makes it very easy to make labels and envelopes - I must not have had Office last time I did this. Also, my HP printer makes it totally easy to insert envelopes in the printer - it has a little envelope illustration on the tray showing how to orient the envelope, where the fold should go, etc. No having to print out 4 test envelopes before figuring out the correct orientation.

Also, now Nathan's address book is not responding either. I seem to have completely hosed it.

Update 2

Word is not perfect - I just wanted to print my return address on an envelope. But it also printed a box outline, and the phrase "Click here to enter a delivery address" where the delivery address goes. This would be on my envelope that already has a delivery address and a stamp. Really mostly amusing. I thought that text was some sort of meta text that would disappear.
