garden

my garden is running a bit behind schedule this year. I planted a whole bunch of seeds in early March to get a head start. I put them out in my cold frame. But the problem was it got too cold at night and too hot during the day if I forgot to crack it a bit. So the few seeds that did sprout got cooked. Oops.

I've moved everything indoors where a few seeds have now sprouted. Today I just replanted another bunch of tomato and chile plant seeds. I also bought some brussels sprouts and broccoli seedlings at Santa Fe Greenhouses, since my seeds never took off.

It may be a year of purchasing seedlings instead of starting plants from seeds. We'll see. However, my garden isn't doing all that badly - I have spinach, tarragon, chives, and lettuce, all in big enough quantities that we have been eating them. The garlic is growing well, and I also seem to have some kale, onions, and radishes on the way too. Maybe even a kohlrabi plant.
