new music

I have to admit I never really listened to podcasts till iTunes made them easy to subscribe to. Nathan, on the other hand, is an old skool podcast listener.

Some music I heard that I like: Goldspot, as heard on KCRW's Morning Becomes Eclectic.

I also enjoyed John in the morning's podcast for KEXP. He includes the Blue Scholars song about the Ave in Seattle. (this would be University Ave near UW).

I also like Kami's Bands Under the Radar (BUTR) podcasts as well.

Some other good bands: Devics and Every Move a Picture (both featured on KCRW again) and Tullycraft. Tullycraft is real poppy and the third song is They Might Be Giants-like - catch them at the KEXP Live Performances Podcast. Devics was more downbeat trip-hoppy. Every Move a Picture is very neo-New-Wave 80s.

Note:the band name links are to Real Media files of the podcasts. The KEXP links are to the podcast so you can subscribe. I haven't figured out how to link to the individual podcasts in iTunes yet.
