weekend in Seattle

Nathan and i had a fun but quick weekend up in seattle. We did a whirlwind tour of the seattle area, starting with getting nathan some new funky frames at Calaizzo in QUeen Anne, having an amazing omakase dinner with brandon & leslie at Nishino, going for a half day ski at Snoqualmie with fresh pow, drooling over way-too-expensive jackets at REI, eating fries with the ELysian's secret sauce over barleywine, seeing how yuppiefied Ballard is becoming during their Saturday night Art-Walk, and getting too much service at Nordstrom.

I'm currently up on San Juan Island, and will be back down in seattle again on wednesday to chill with the Brookester. She is going back and forth between seattle and SJI these days. Hopefully i'll be able to catch up with bronwyn then as well.

oh yes, and a report about the Thor-bear, my precious kitty. He loved his little kitty-only boarding facility. He hung out with the cats, chilled in his outside room, and generally enjoyed himself. He meowed of course, as that is his wont. And his stuffed catnip toy was a total hit among the cats there.
